42. several days without access to the internet :)
43. dinner with old family friends
44. playing cards with sisters (this was the longest time we've all spent together in several years)
45. riding the Griffon at Busch Gardens with Kaitlyn and Kory...while the fireworks went off. So lovely! Definitely my favorite roller coaster!
46. camping at the beach with family...reminds me of my childhood :)

52. bright sun reflecting on the waves for miles and miles (as we crossed the Bay Bridge Tunnel especially!)
53. randomly stopping by the drive-in theater on our way home
54. one-on-one time with Kaitlyn when I took her to work (when did she grow up? Such a great sense of humor!)
55. joyful woman at the local market who guessed at the weight of everything we bought, and then threw in a bunch of extra green beans because the ones we had "looked lonely"

This has been a summer of "firsts" as much as it has been a reminder of summers when I was younger: I'd never been to Busch Gardens, helped with a wedding reception, visited Baltimore, and it has been years since I'd seen the Miers, gone camping (especially at Kiptopeke!), or been to the drive-in theater. This has been by far the most "vacation-y" summer I've had. I think I could get used to a teacher's schedule. ;) Now, back to this pile of books... :)

The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;

You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
